An important point i learnt from the gospel of peter doc

so i watchd a doc on the gospel of petey!

and it was brought out that a tradition of the civilizations of the old is to look to these alostles as authoritative and some would write in a manner that siggested the higher ups ( matt, john, mark, peter) wrote it....if this is true then the gospels are just as accurate as the "lost" gospel of peter...whacha think?

if true this truly jeopardizes the trub of the old testamenth.

Something to consider when revealing WT history to your JW and a funny story

new things to add to our fade (wife and i).

first, we just attended a gathering sunday with a bunch of jws.

it all went as you would suspect--met a kid i imagine is gay but his friends just claim hes very sheltered, typical monitoring of music to make sure nothing bad was on, prayer to jehovah giving thanks for the latest wt article, and a mother complaining about some adults having an alcoholic beverage and how wrong it was at this type of gathering.... but what tops it off is what my daughter said to a brother near the end of the day.. she has a toy she brought and played with the whole time since there werent many iids her age there.

but what tops it off is what my daughter said to a brother near the end of the day.

She has a toy she brought and played with the whole time since there werent many iids her age there. The brother she was speaking to asked where she got it and she says: "oh i got this at Chuckie cheese!!! For my cousins birthday party".....as i walked in on it my heart sank as the irrational fear set in. So we promptly went to the car and waited until it was time to leave. :-)

And my next point to all those revealing truths about the history of the WT. Chances are unless you reveal current things to your JW (if they are willing to listen at all) they will still stick with the "they were imperfect, but still the best people out there and closest to the truth" defense. My wife is at that point. She knows the GB are corrupt, but still holds so strongly to the social ties and relationships. It angers me greatly knowing hat when these "friends" find out im a naughty apostate, theyll lovingly shun me and mark my wife. But if thats what it takes to wake her up....who knows. Anyways the point is to tie in the current tachings with the past in a way that shows how they consistently make the same mistakes with the same consequences in their followers' lives. I think thats the only way i can reach her as far as info is concerned. That, and Hassans books.

I just finished the episode about the extinctions and the tree of life and how life evolved. My wife asked me "what, do u believe in evolution now?" I just said "why? Because im watching a science show?" Lol

infound it quite informative.

Creationists--what is your reaction? please be specific.

and of course, all others, what did you think about the show? Accurate?

I really liked how he used the tree of life to put things together and also the part about common ancestry and dna.
